Phillips County Library
Originally known as the Helena Women’s Association in 1891 later becomes the Phillips County Library and placed on the National Register of Historic Places by then Governor Bill Clinton in 1975. The Phillips County Library is known to be the longest continues running library west of the Mississippi. Starting out with a book collection of 533 books to what is now 48,035 located in 3 different locations. Our stats can be found in Marvell, Elaine, and Helena. We also house Phillips Lee Monroe Regional Library funded through Arkansas State Library. Our location includes public computers, Genealogy department, as well as a community room. Throughout the year, you can find exciting children’s programs including live animals, theater, and magicians. We also welcome local partnerships with other community agencies.
